The 6th Tokyo Pride Parade
Saturday, August 11, 2007 11am to 5 pm

Welcome to the official website of the 6th Tokyo Pride Parade! As you may have noticed, we have changed our name this year from the "Tokyo Lesbian and Gay Parade" to the "Tokyo Pride Parade". This name change reflects our inclusion and embrace of all sexual minorities as well as our straight allies.

The Tokyo Pride Parade is the biggest event of its kind in Japan. Last year's event drew more than 3,800 spectators and participants, and more than 200 volunteers helped to make it a success. The people marching in the parade around Shibuya and Harajuku represented all facets of Japan's LGBT community and many were in amazingly original costumes. The festivities also included symposiums, speeches, a flea market, live music, DJs and dancing, good food and drinks, and of course, an excellent atmosphere.

The Tokyo Pride Parade has always welcomed people from different countries and cultures. This year, more than ever, we would like to make it a truly international event. So please come join us for a great time and help raise the visibility of Japan's LGBT community!
